People make films, not equipment. The idea is simple: put people with film ideas and people who want to work on films in the same room. Pitchers share their ideas, then everyone meets, talks, and plans. Without a physical space to do this, getting started is much harder for those without experience or connections.
We meet once a month and welcome all levels. Come pitch your idea or listen to others pitch theirs.
Got an idea for a film? Need help with the script, planning, shooting, or editing? Pitch your idea to a room full of people eager to help, at any stage of the process. It's a low-pressure, welcoming environment — perfect for first-time filmmakers. This is the event we wished existed when we were starting out.
Excited at the thought of working on a film? Stuck on uncreative projects? Always wanted to break into film but didn't know where to start? This event is just as much for you. We bring together complete beginners and seasoned professionals, united by a love of the process and a passion for film.
We are very happy to be hosting Pitch and Planning at the beautiful House of Music, a space for music, filmmaking, open working environments, and diverse networking possibilities. You can find it on the historical R.A.W. grounds in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg.
