Ukrainian & Newly Arrived Refugee Support

This is a special one off event in which we will be helping refugees from the devastating war in Ukraine, as well as any refugee new to Berlin who are looking to get work in the film industry. They will get some face time with people who are in a position to help. I will be reaching out to Producers, Directors, Lighting, Sound, and any other department heads that have the ability to hire people and asking them to show up for this event so they can meet the talented newcomers hungry to get into the film industry here.

This event will be held at Space Meduza, a bar in Kreuzberg, owned and run by lovely  Ukrainian people whom I consider family.

LOOKING FOR HELP

If you are a filmmaker who is new to Berlin because you were forced to leave your homeland, such as all the refugees from the war in Ukraine, and have some experience  in the industry and proficiency in either German or English this event is for you. If you have some experience in any department on a film set such as, camera, sound, light, makeup, art department, or any of the many other positions, please show up. There will be people in the audience who will be there who are in a position to hire people, either producers or heads of departments.

WANTING TO HELP

If you are a working member of the film community here in Berlin and are looking to find talented people to work with, the large influx of refugees is a great place to look. I believe in the theory of abundance and that the more people who find work here, the more work that will come here. As the talent here increases so will the desire to shoot here.

So to all the Producers, Directors, Cinematographers, Sound Engineers, Editors, and anyone who needs excellent assistants, please show up and meet with these filmmakers who are hungry to work and in need of an opportunity to join our ranks.
